All of my favorite records came out in 1979 Part One

What a masterpiece. I was scared to death of Chrissie Hynde and I was in awe of the guitar tones and playing exhibited by her and lead player James Honeyman Scott. When I was a kid this record made me marvel at just how hard the human animal can rock.

Released in '79. When music was really, really good. Posted by Hello

Excellent series, Bobby. May I also suggest Peter Gabriel's third album (Melting Face)? Yeah, it was released in early '80, but it's a 1979 album.

I *still* play along with this Pretenders album. And I *still* get off when Chrissie yelps, "I shot my mouth off, and he showed me what that hole was ... for."

Yeah, that's the heat, right there. Tattooed fucking Love Boys. If Chrissie ever threw a punch at me I would SO not hit back.
Melting Face- I do believe I will take you up on that.
