Seriously Compelling Blog Alert

Yeah, Milo Freeman has posted here and at Ned's place in recent days and as I'm wont to do with a new visitor who doesn't have "hate" or "death" or "Limbaugh" in his tag, and who doesn't wish all manner of pestilence upon me, I was off to see from whence th' polysyllabisms origificated. Obviously a Catch-22 fan.

Turns out Milo's in th' Suck, to borrow from the parlance of an earlier, easier adventure, my peaceloving friends. And he's reminding me a lot of an early, good Hemingway character with his intellect and his well-consideredness and his romance. He's going to change the way you feel about the modern soldier. Maybe even th' modern 20-something. He's also a poet. Let's all give him our business.

Go check him out. He's something else. Keep your head down, Spc. Freeman. We want and need you back when this shit is ironed out. Someday.

"Obviously a 'Catch-22' fan."

Indeed. First read it when I was seventeen; now that I'm deployed, I'd like to go back and reread it. See if I can't glean more wisdom from it. Too bad a copy is so hard to come by.

Anyway, I'm stunned by the serious props you've given me here, so I thank you. I love your own style of writing as well, so I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing more of each other. Take care, man.

Jesus, Bobby, you said a mouthful.

Milo: Do you have a literary agent? I'm reading your archives. You're going to need one.
